About Café George
Hidden on a lovely, monumental canal downtown, upbeat Café George has been one of Amsterdam’s greatest hits for years now. With its iconic entrance, tile walls, catwalk like mosaic floor and classic Thonet chairs, it's definitely an influencers favourite and famous photospot, where you might mingle with a local celebrity, international creatives or simply our next-door neighbour.
Often copied, but never equalled, our all-day restaurant resembles a cool, NYC-style bistro, featuring a contemporary twist on French brasserie dishes. Think: Steak Tartare and Martini & Fries, topped with a dash of Manhattan’s timeless favourites, like the infamous Steak Sandwich – as ‘New York’ as it gets.
